Glen Thomas Lindahl

Experience: Oh boy, where to begin...I have had a lot of fun!
Glen has been involved with a wide spectrum of projects ranging from working on (and being a guinea-pig for) medical instrumentation in my father's shop as a child and teenager, to electromechanical design work on 1/4" drive tape recorders and load equalizing trailer hitches in the 1960's, earth moving equipment in the 1970's, and back again to medical devices in the early 1980's.

Growing up south west of Elkhart Indiana, Glen attended and graduated from Concord Metropolitan High School in 1967.  His elective courses were in the industrial arts areas.  After high school, he worked as a draftsman, layout designer, and machinist.

In 1977 Glen graduated from LeTourneau College (now LeTourneau University) with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering.  During the college years hands-on experience was gained as a Emergency Medical Technician (this was a time when para-medics were only in Los Angeles, California) and as a medic for a large construction job site.  Glen was also involved as a First-Aid Instructor and Disaster Director for the American Red Cross in the Piney Woods Chapter at Longview Texas.

After graduation, the career opportunities continually brought Glen back to medical design problems.  First with a company producing hospital equipment, then on to an orthopedic implant manufacturer.  While at the former, Glen was able to bring all his experience to individual patients, prototype design and testing, and management challenges.

Currently:
Glen started his own consulting company, Lin-Tech Co.,  in 1984 initially offering Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) services in the northern Indiana area.  Providing the expertise of a large research and development facility to the smaller manufacturer.  These services have expanded to include patent evaluation and prototype construction.  Helping the small company or individual bring a product to market is the main goal of his efforts.

Currently Glen is also president of Accurate LASER Works, Inc. a LASER processing job shop in Churubusco, Indiana.
